About Us
Led by Rabbi Yirmi Levy, the Sephardic Congregation of Mill Basin has developed into more than just a place to pray, but has become its very own community.
The synagogue is located on East 64th Street between Strickland and Avenue U, but is currently under renovation. It is being rebuilt from the ground up to allow more men to sit comfortably and to accommodate the many women who choose to attend. During the renovations, the congregation has moved to Temple Shalom on Avenue U and East 69th.
Driven by the sense to create a community the synagogue does not charge members to join the weekly services. There is no charge for an Aliyah, and all are welcome to volunteer. It is important to us to make everyone feel welcome and wanted.
